Time's Enigma

A text-only fantasy adventure game for the PC involving travel to various periods throughout time. 

Your old professor, Laithwaite by name, has developed a Time Manipulator and has tricked you into using it with the instruction that you must bring back as many items from the past as possible to  show him where and when you've visited. 

Scenarios include Pompeii, Isaac Newton, Samuel Pepys, Guy Fawkes, The Somme, The Titanic and others.

The game will run on Windows or in a DOS window. All files in the zipped folder must be present in the game folder for the game to run.

With the exception of suffering a fatality, which can of course happen, as far as I'm aware, you can't paint yourself into a corner or get into an unwinnable situation in this game as could happen with some of my earlier games.

Since first uploaded, I have improved the game by adding a SCRIPT function (UNSCRIPT to stop) which records all activity to a saved file. This can be viewed 'in-game' using the command HISTORY. This script file can be deleted as an option in the DELETE command. If I come across any difficulties with this routine (it has not been beta tested) I will upload corrections as necessary. Saved game positions from earlier versions will still be valid.
